2003 Race 5 - SHOWTIME SPEEDWAY

Some of the wests best racers were seen at Showtime, gearing up for NORRCA's Paved Oval Nationals set for the weekend after our visit to the track.
Modified drivers Gary Hamilton, Ken Collins, Brian Boudakian and Erik Steenhoven are all so close to running 52 laps and shattering the tracks record...who will be the first to make it? It didn't happen today, but it's sure to happen when things tighten up at the Nat's.
Justin Tuey, set the pace for Sportsman Mod trying for a 49 lap run. It was Art Hernandez who survived the main to take Victory though.
With a full 10 car main in Rookie/Novice class, things were very exciting. Suzie and Char did their battle, but Brent and Tim took over up front with Brent Clanton taking the win...
Scot Petitclerc is having one of his best years ever. Battling with Larry Ruby all day for the 19t TQ Spot, winning the STOCK "A" Main and finishing a strong 3rd in 19t behind Jason Hastings and Larry Ruby.
